Having so much fun for with Smart Turkey Tours from Cappadocia - Istanbul - Bursa - Ankara - Pamukkale and so many other cities. Turkey definitely have been in my wishlist since forever. And I definitely have a great experience with this team. Overall here is my summary from this trip Hotel : 4/5 Food : 4/5 Attraction Places : 5/5 Transportation :4/5 Tour Guide & Company services. : 5/5.
Smart Turkey Tours is amazing! We were a group of 7 friends who did a private tour with them. They truly went the extra mile to accommodate us - from responding quickly to messages to adjusting our trip and having excellent tour guides. I give them them 6 out of 5 stars for our whole experience!
I was on an 8-person private tour of several cities & sites in Turkey. SmartTours had everything well arranged, from airport pickup & drop-off emails that included driver pictures, to high quality, comfortable hotels with extravagant Turkish breakfasts, a new Mercedes tour van with a dedicated and very experienced driver and an excellent knowledgeable guide. We had lunches at a variety of restaurants, many small, local ones off the beaten path, and a minimum number of crowded tour-bus centric dining halls (avoid if possible). The small restaurants were excellent, with fresh local meals and individual service. Dinners were mostly on are own in the cities, with many choices nearby. We usually walked to dinner and felt safe everywhere. Our guide, Shavat, was extremely knowledgeable on the wide range of Turkish history, and also provided a lot of information on current Turkish customs and family life. He often talked on the bus about each site and its history while we traveled, which I liked more than staying in a tight group at the sites. I was able to walk a bit more and take hundreds of pictures at sites, though, and was wonderful. I highly recommend SmartTours for tours in Turkey. Yeliz did an excellent job on logistics and react well when there are inevitable guest snafus (left passports, limiting medical conditions in group). Finally, the exchange rate is very favorable to US visitors now, take dollars for tips, etc.! BTW, I tried & tried to upload some of the pics from this trip and Tripadvisor was totally unable to upload them. This was a spectacularly beautiful tour. I give up.
We had a great time in Turkey, thanks yo Smart Turkey especially Anil who was really helpful. One of the guides, Deniz was particularly great! He gave us a really good insight to Troy and Gallipoli. You should ask for Deniz who can also recommend great places to eat!!
