Built in the 16th century by the famous architect Mimar Sinan for the Grand Vizier Rüstem Paşa, it is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. The Spice Bazaar is also in Eminönü. It is one of the oldest covered bazaars in Istanbul, renowned for its herbalists. In addition to traditional products such as natural medicines, spices, flower seeds, rare plant roots, and shells, the bazaar offers dried nuts, delicatessen products, and various foodstuffs.
