Known as a "dying church," Sardis features remarkable sites such as: The Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Cybele, later transformed into a Byzantine Church. The restored Sardis Gymnasium and reconstructed Synagogue. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Philadelphia (Alasehir), one of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev. 1:11; 3:7) and the only church that wasn’t criticized.
